Architecture
- Is the height of the room (slab to slab) over 4M?
- Is the weight load of slab over 600kg/㎡?
- Is the building well insulated against heat and humidity?
- Is there large cargo elevator (over 1.5Ton) available?
- Is it convenient to monitor/control entries?
- Is there any possibility of vibration or subsidence?
- Is there area available for outdoor units and pumps at roof top?
- Is the area habitual flooded, landslide, tsunami, earthquake?
- Is there any possibility of civil complain against operation?
Electrical
- Is the area vulnerable to frequent power problems?
- Is the area with high NLD (Number of Lightening Days)?
- Does the building have enough power capacity?
- Is there any problem to increase capacity in the future?
- Has the building good earth? (less 3Ω)
- Is there space available for Generator, Transformer and LV Panels?
- Is there enough space in the EPS pit?
- Is there any source of surge/noise such as power plant, Air port,
High Voltage Tower, Factory, etc. in the vicinity?
Mechanical
- Is there enough space in the Mech. pit?
- Does the building provide with good city water and drainage?
- Is there office at neighboring floor or vicinity sensitive to noise?
- Can the existing FCU and diffuser be blocked or removed?
- Is the area good for natural free cooling?
Fire Protection
- Is there existing sprinkler system?
- If so, can the system blocked or changed to dry pipe type?
- Is there any restriction to use specific gas agent?
- Is it possible to link fire alarm to Bldg monitor room and modify screen?
- Is there any flammable material storage such as gas station nearby?
Others
- Is there any problem in terms of legal or city plan?
- Is the building available for long term lease?
- Is the building cooperative for temporary stoppage of power or
water for Data Center Construction?
- Is there good access of communication lines?
- Is it convenient to dispatch maintenance staff?
